RNC Night one
In no particular order here are some thoughts about tonight's speech:
All were very well done. No major surprises.
John McCain came out especially strong. I'm usually able to overlook some of his grandstanding precisely because I understand that despite disagreements over issues I can always count on him to vote and to speak up to defend our country. I more than anything enjoyed his line disparaging Michael Moore's movie assessment of the war in Iraq. He is getting up there in years but I imagine there will be talk of McCain 2008 come December. His entire speech can be seen at Bushblogs.com
Ron Silver seemed visibly moved by the experience as he spoke. I've seen him hold his own against liberal lightweights on talk shows.
